ARMA - The Altoona-Midway High School volleyball team was unable to build momentum - at least in the win column - in its final tune-up prior to the upcoming regional tournament.
The Lady Jets (0-28) were defeated in both matches in a Three Rivers League triangular held here Thursday. Northeast High School posted a 25-10, 25-7 victory in the opener, and later St. Paul came out victorious against AMHS 25-3, 25-6.
“Tonight was a hard night of play, as we go into the last week of practice before Regionals,” said Altoona-Midway head coach Sharee Bertrand. “We haven't won a game but I am proud of the girls for sticking it out with me. We are ending the season by trying to have fun on the court.”
Kansas Class 1A-II Regional action is slated to be held Tuesday, Oct. 20, at several sites, based on seedings. Pairings had not yet been announced.
