Need shoes for school???
The Fredonia Church of Christ (600 N. 15th) is having a shoe giveaway on Sunday, August 14th from 1:00-3:00.
Every child can receive a pair of new or gently used tennis shoes, so make sure you stop by and get some back to school shoes!

The USD 387 board of education has decided to offer pre-school classes to 4 year olds only at this time. Pre-school classes will be in the afternoon, and screening for those students who have not been previously screened will still take place on Thursday August 4th from 8:00-4:00. Please call the elementary school on or after August 1st to set up your appointment.

We would like to give a huge thank you to the Altoona-Midway USD 387 Education Foundation for purchasing back to school supplies for our students! Elementary students will still need to furnish their own backpack and gym shoes. Middle/High school students may need various items depending on their class enrollment and teachers will let them know the first week of class. #GearedUpForAGreatYear 📚

The federal waivers that have allowed us to serve all students free meals the last two years expired on June 30, 2022. Meal fees will revert back to the pre-covid system for next year. All families that have not received a letter stating they are direct certified are encouraged to fill out an application to qualify for free/reduced meals. This not only benefits you, but the school district as well. Paper applications will be available at enrollment, but you can save time by using this convenient online link: https://schoolmealsapp.ksde.org/Home/welcome/D0387

There will be a nurse at enrollment on August 3 from 1:00-6:00 for any students needing vaccinations for the upcoming school year.

Altoona-Midway USD #387 is in search of a high school assistant football coach. Anyone interested in this coaching position is encouraged to contact Jeff Almond at jalmond@usd387.org.

Reminder to MS/HS Volleyball and HS football players: You must have a physical on file with the A.D. in order to begin practice. Physical forms are available at the district office or at the Verdigris Valley Charitable Clinic in Altoona, on Wednesdays. Please bring the completed forms to enrollment. Please be sure that all forms are signed.

We are getting ready for a great year at Altoona-Midway! Enrollment packets were sent out today, and enrollment is August 3rd from 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.

A huge congratulations goes out to Shelbi Bryant who earned a spot in the Top 10 at FCCLA Nationals! 🏅
Shelbi participated in Career Investigation Level 1 and researched early childhood education. She made a career plan, set goals and thanks to Mrs. Stierwalt and Mrs. Walker, she even got some time in the classroom!
Way to go Shelbi! 🥳
